Our process starts with you, our clients…
The planning process is designed to help our customers create their dream space with as much ease as possible. We are a “one stop shop” showroom offering cabinetry, countertops, decorative hardware, plumbing fixtures, tile and installation services.
The process begins with meeting the client in the showroom or, if a site measure is needed, at the job site. This meeting is to determine the scope of work for the project; type of space being renovated or built, specific work and materials. MacLaren will be responsible for style preferences, time frame for the project to be complete, and budget.
Measures taken on site at the first consultation
Preliminary Design & Presentation:
Once our designers have enough information, they can create a preliminary design for the space, make material recommendations, and provide rough budget numbers.
Floor plans are drawn and discussed
Plans will then be presented for review in the showroom where there is access to material samples and displays for reference. Revisions can then be made based on discussions between designer and client during this presentation.
Revisions are made from computerized elevations
Cabinetry is often the material with the longest lead time and therefore is usually the most important item to finalize and order. At this time final site measurements should be completed and appliance selections and plumbing fixtures should be finalized as they play a major role in cabinet layout and clearances.
Once plans are approved and a deposit is received, materials are ordered. The designer will present the client and installer with a “Job binder” complete with detailed drawings, cabinet orders, material specifications and all other useful information regarding the project.

At any point during the process our showroom and slab yard is available for inspiration. We have access to over 1000 colors, and onsite you can select from hundreds of slabs in person. Meet with our sales team or your designer to guide you through our vast collection that is updated every day!
Install & Follow Up:
MacLaren Kitchen & Bath, and your designer, will remain in close contact with you throughout the entire install process. Once the project has been completed and you, the homeowner, has had a chance to settle in, we then ask your permission to photograph your new space.
